LOUGHREA SQUASH CLUB

Loughrea Squash Club is located at the rear of the Temperance Hall in Barrick Street. They have one court. This has been re-plastered and painted in recent times and the overall condition of the court is now excellent. There is also a good viewing gallery.

The major issue remaining is attending to the heating. In winter, the court is very cold and even though the club rules suggest the use of a single yellow dot ball, it appears that most players use either a red dot or a blue dot ball. Plans are currently being drawn up to address this issue - finance being the major obstacle.

The club has some very good squash players among whom are members of the Galway Hurling Teams.
