Affiliation to Irish Squash
The manner in which clubs and individuals affiliate to Irish Squash has been changed since the AGM of 2005.
Since season 2005-2006 we all must become individual members of Irish Squash in much the same way as golfers, badminton and tennis players affiliate to their respective governing bodies. Clubs will no longer pay affiliation fees based on number of courts, but based on membership. A list of the benefits of membership and the fees applicable for this season is on the Irish Squash web site.
As involvement in Connacht Squash activities such as leagues, open and closed tournaments, as well as coaching, refereeing and other courses is intended for affiliated members you are asked to please support our sport by affiliating now.
As before, a portion of the fees is returned to the provinces to assist them in covering their operating expenses.
Are all members of the squash club required to affiliate? Most definitely, YES! Members should choose either full or affiliate and the club needs to collect the relevant fees and forward them to Irish Squash.
Individuals can not affiliate directly to Irish Squash - it must be done through your club.
Remember that you will not be allowed to enter tournaments or play in leagues or represent Connacht if you are not affiliated to Irish Squash.
Full details of the revised scheme are available on the MEMBERSHIP STRUCTURE page of the Irish Squash website.
